Anti-Musk protests planned for seven Chicagoland locations on Saturday

CHICAGO (WGN) — The “Tesla Takedown” movement is set to hold its largest protest yet, with a Saturday “Global Day of Action.”

Demonstrations are planned at 500 Tesla dealerships on Saturday to protest Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency. Most of the planned demonstrations are in the United States, with at least seven planned for the Chicago area.

Critics say Musk and the DOGE group are destroying democracy with their controversial actions to slash government spending.

The demonstrators urge owners of Tesla vehicles and stock to sell. While some dealerships have been vandalized, organizers say the day of action will be peaceful.
