“These charges in no way reflect the values or professionalism of the Allentown Police Department,” Allentown Police Chief Charles Roca said in a statement. “Our officers are hardworking professionals who show up every day to serve and protect the community, despite challenges and negativity.”

“I want to be clear to the community that we will continue to show up and build relationships with our stakeholders and address concerns that people have,” Roca added. “Since my appointment as Chief of Police in June 2021, I have prioritized strengthening policies, procedures, and oversight to exceed the standards set by our accreditation body.”
