A Heavy Rain Threat & Small Threat of Severe Weather Late Thursday & Friday…

Lows tonight will be in the mid 60s so it will be mild. Showers and storms return tomorrow afternoon, and heavy rain is still possible. I think 1-3″ of rain will be possible across Acadiana. Isolated areas may receive 4-5″ of rain. There will be a small threat of severe weather, but I think the flash flooding treat will be higher than the severe weather threat. A few storms may produce gusty winds. The tornado threat will be low. Sunday should be dry, then we will see a chance of storms late Sunday night into early Monday morning. Highs over the weekend will be in the low to mid 80s.
