Somerset fire officials posted on Facebook around 8 a.m. on Friday, March 28, that crews had been dispatched to the intersection of West KY 914 and Slate Branch Road in response to a four-vehicle injury crash with people trapped inside.
Crews reportedly found two people at the scene who were trapped in their vehicles and used extrication equipment to get them out. Four people were taken to the hospital by emergency personnel, and one was flown by helicopter.
“The cleanup of debris was extensive,” the SFD wrote.
An investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
