On March 25, around 12:30 p.m., officers were called to the 5000 block of Orchard Avenue for reports of a battery incident. One of the victims told authorities Odonnell threatened to have someone batter her.
The situation escalated when a man entered the room, and Odonnell grabbed a knife, according to court records. The man told officials he feared he was going to be stabbed, so he grabbed Odonnell and pushed him through a storm door.
The man stopped the fight, but Odonnell hit him in the head with a shovel, court documents showed.
A witness told police she saw Odonnell grab the female victim and later saw him holding a shovel.
Odonnell is charged with aggravated battery while using a deadly weapon and domestic battery causing bodily harm.
