Rubiel Perez, 30, of Allentown, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Jeffrey L. Schmehl to two counts of Hobbs Act robbery, one county of attempted Hobbs Act robbery, among others.
He was charged in Nov. 2023.
Perez was accused of robbing three 7-Eleven convenience stores in the Lehigh Valley in March of 2023.
Federal authorities say he stole $937 from the 7-Eleven on Union Boulevard in Allentown on March 28.
The next night, he tried to rob two other 7-Elevens in the valley — one on South 4th Street in Allentown, stealing $150, and another on West Tilghman Street in South Whitehall Township.
He will be sentenced on July 10 and faced a minimum sentence of seven years in federal prison. His maximum possible sentence is life in prison.
