The Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program at Mountain Home Public Schools was honored at the Arkansans for Gifted and Talented Education Conference this month in Hot Springs. The local district was presented with the Act 56 Award.
Recipients of the award are selected based on program standards, background information, community involvement, staff development, program options, curriculum, and innovation.
Mountain Home’s GATE program is represented by teachers Michelle Griffin, Amanda Rayburn and Toni Hamby and coordinator Stephanie Hughes.
