Driver, passenger injured during Jackson shooting

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a driver and a passenger were injured during a shooting.

Police responded to the 300 block of Flag Chapel Road on March 26 after receiving a call about the shooting that occurred on Clinton Boulevard near Flag Chapel Road.

Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said the suspects were in a white-colored Toyota and fired multiple shots in the victim’s vehicle. The driver and the passenger were injured.

Brown said the victim drove to the 300 block of Flag Chapel Road to seek help. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the shooting can contact JPD at 601-960-1234 or Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477).
