Driver causes 3-vehicle collision, flips after running red light in Abilene

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A driver caused a 3-vehicle collision and flipped after running a red light in Abilene Wednesday afternoon.

This driver was traveling down S. 27th Street when they ran a red light at the intersection with Sayles Boulevard around 2:30 p.m., causing their vehicle to get hit by another vehicle that was traveling down Sayles, according to witnesses and police.

Witnesses say the driver then crashed into a third vehicle that was traveling the opposite direction on S 27th Street and flipped.

Only minor injuries have been reported in connection to this crash, and police say the driver at fault will receive a citation for running a red light.
