Date with a Story: Henderson residents bridge a generational gap

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Henderson residents of all ages came together at the county library to share their experiences living in and around the LGBT community.

They shared their stories with those who are new to the community or just simply, curious.

Cooper Beck is with the Henderson KY Pride organization who shares that hosting an event like this can help bridge generations by sharing their stories.

One of those who shared their story was Angie Gatten, the wife of late HPD officer Janna Gatten, who passed away from colon cancer in 2023.

Angie says she misses Janna everyday and is more than willing to share their story with those who will listen.
