How to Become a CASA Volunteer

Anyone can become a CASA volunteer as long as they are committed to making a difference in a child’s life. To apply, volunteers must:

  • 21 or older
  • Pass the screening and background check
  • Complete initial training ((30 hours of training and 3 hours of courtroom observation)
  • Be able to make a 12-18-month minimum commitment (average of 2-10 hours per month)
  • Keep information confidential and work within established program guidelines
  • Collaborate with professionals
  • Complete 12 hours of continuing education each year
