Arrest warrants issued for 2 people allegedly tied to criminal organization raided by IMPD

INDIANAPOLIS — Police are searching for two males being charged for their alleged roles in a gang that was recently raided by Indy police.

Arrest warrants have been issued for two more individuals for their alleged involvement in various criminal activities and for being part of SUR 13, a gang with reported ties to the Mexican Mafia.

Online court records show the pair are being preliminarily charged with Criminal Organization Activity, a Level 5 Felony.

Court documents obtained by FOX59/CBS4 say one of the wanted suspects is a 16-year-old male who reportedly posted on numerous social media accounts, including Instagram and Facebook.

In one of these photos, the male can allegedly be seen holding two firearms next to the caption “free 13.” Detectives noted that a machine gun conversion device was fixed to one of the firearms he was allegedly holding.

Multiple raids throughout Indianapolis last week resulted in the arrest of seven men who are now facing multiple drug and weapons charges.

During the raids, police seized seven illegally possessed firearms, seven pounds of marijuana, two and a half pounds of cocaine, around 195 grams of pressed narcotic pills and $18,640.

All of the arrested individuals are believed to be part of SUR 13, which also operates under the monikers Southern United Raza and Sureños.

It consists of a group of loosely affiliated gangs throughout the United States.

The alleged gang members regularly appeared in photos where they were holding firearms and flashing cash next to illegal narcotics. To view some of these photos, click here.

IMPD said the group was allegedly involved in various incidents across the Circle City, including shots fired runs, shootings, distribution of narcotics, illegal firearms sales and other crimes.
