LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — There were two elections Tuesday, first, Lancaster County is choosing a new state senator.
This was a special election to replace Republican Ryan Aument who now works for US Senator Dave McCormick.
With 100% of precincts reporting, it looks like Democrat James Malone – the Mayor of East Petersburg – has edged out Republican County Commissioner Josh Parsons for the seat. This district covers half the county.
There was a State House race in western Pennsylvania after a representative passed away. The winner is Dan Goughnour. So, the democrats have the majority in the state house. This race breaks the 101-to-101 tie in the House.
