Overnight pursuit in Salt Lake County ends with 4 arrested

MILLCREEK, Utah (ABC4) — Officers with the Unified Police Department were involved in a brief overnight pursuit that ended with four men in custody.

Unified Police tell ABC4.com that the pursuit happened shortly before midnight on Tuesday, March 25 near the Salt Lake City-Millcreek city line. The chase started when officers confronted a suspect who they said was wanted for allegedly disarming a police officer.

The suspect fled the scene when officers attempted a traffic stop, leading to a brief pursuit.

Details on the pursuit and resulting arrests are limited. However, Unified Police said officers requested assistance from a helicopter and were able to safely apprehend the suspect as well as three other men.

All suspects have been identified as West Jordan residents, resulting in West Jordan SWAT being called to assist as well.
