Buccaneer Bayou Adventure Mini Golf, the newest addition to Dark Woods, will open on Saturday, March 29. The 19-hole course will transport visitors to a world where legendary pirate tales and Louisiana bayou folklore collide in a family-fun experience.
Built and designed by Castle Golf, Inc. of Mesa, Arizona, Buccaneer Bayou promises a unique minigolf experience in the region.
“We aimed to create an immersive, adventure-filled course that captivates guests with storytelling and craftsmanship,” said Tod Thornton, CEO at Castle Golf.
The course features elaborate theming, state-of-the-art special effects, and challenging play elements to engage visitors of all ages and skill levels. With pirate forts, cannibal huts, skulls, cannons, and more, each hole offers a unique experience for everyone.
When the course, which is in its final construction stages, is complete, visitors will see interactive water features and special effects, par-rated course play, professional tournament-quality putting surfaces, immersive pirate and bayou themeing, LED lighting for evening play, family-friendly challenges at each hole, themed rest areas, and photo opportunities.
“Buccaneer Bayou represents the next chapter in Dark Woods Adventure Park’s commitment to creating unforgettable family experiences,” says Jason Summerlin, Co-owner at Dark Woods Adventure Park. “By partnering with Castle Golf, we’re bringing world-class mini golf entertainment to Natchitoches and Louisiana, complementing our existing attractions like the Lost Treasure Mining Company and Bear Factory at Dark Woods and our annual special events.”
