By rssfeeds-admin On March 25, around 5 a.m., officers were called to the intersection of Forest Hills and Harlem Roads for a Jeep that was hit by another vehicle and span out into a pole. The woman told authorities that the suspect immediately left his car and fled on foot.
Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies took Thorns into custody soon after.
The woman had head pain due to the collision and was taken to a local hospital for her injuries.
Authorities later found that Thorns had suspended licenses in Illinois and California and could not provide proof of insurance for the vehicle.
Thorns is charged with vehicle crash causing injury, driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, failure to reduce speed, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving on a suspended license.
