What Louisiana voters need to know before March 29 election
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Louisiana voters are set to decide on four constitutional amendments on March 29.

Proposed amendments on the ballot include tax code changes, specialty courts, prosecuting juveniles as adults and judicial vacancies.

Here’s what voters need to know before the election.

Early Voting: Early voting for the March 29 election was March 15-22, excluding Sunday, March 16.

Absentee Ballots: The deadline to request an absentee ballot is 4:30 p.m. March 25. Absentee ballots can be requested online

or in writing through the Registrar of Voters Office.

The deadline to return absentee ballots is 4:30 p.m. March 28.

When do polls open on March 29? Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters can find their polling location and sample ballot on the GeauxVote app or by visiting GeauxVote.com.

Voters are reminded by the Louisiana Secretary of State to bring an ID with them to the polls.
