SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Police Department arrested two men on narcotics and firearm-related charges.
The SPD responded to reports of an armed person in the 2900 block of Fulton Street just after 6:15 p.m. on March 20. According to callers, two men were seen chasing another man, one of them armed with a firearm.
The suspect was identified as 32-year-old Christopher Williams, who officers reportedly discovered had a firearm. Further investigation revealed that Williams is a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms. Williams was arrested and faces one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
According to a press release, the SPD also conducted an arrest warrant operation on March 19 just after 7:15 a.m. During the operation, 30-year-old Treamone W. Caldwell was taken into custody.
Officers say they observed illegal narcotics and a firearm in plain view. Caldwell was arrested on outstanding warrants and faces additional charges, including Illegal Carrying of a Weapon and Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Distribute.
