On Tuesday, Flowood leaders unveiled the new complex during a first serve ceremony. They said the complex is a way to bring the community together while also focusing on growing the city.
“We’ll see a lot of growth, not only in the recreation aspect, but hopefully we’ll have more people moving to Flowood. We’ll have, more restaurants opening up. We have a few that have seen this growth, and they’re preparing for it, and they want to be employed. Now, it’s just opportunity of finding them a place to, to locate. And so, we see more growth happening in Flowood,” said Daniel Lang, director of Economic Development for the City of Flowood.
The complex is located in Liberty Park and has 18 courts. There are new additions to the park, including a playground.
