JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A man pled guilty to stabbing his paralyzed father to death in Jackson.
Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owen announced that Kristopher BoClair was sentenced to 25 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC). He pled guilty to second-degree murder in the stabbing death of his father, Kenneth BoClair.
The incident occurred on November 30, 2022, in the 300 block of Riser Street after receiving a call from the defendant’s mother. She reported that her son confessed to killing his father.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Kenneth BoClair, 58, who was paralyzed and bedridden, lying in bed with knives lodged in his neck and eye. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Kristopher BoClair turned himself in at the Byram Police Department.
He entered a guilty plea to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 40 years, with 15 years suspended. He will serve 25 years in the custody of MDOC, followed by three years of post-release supervision.
