By rssfeeds-admin AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) – The Aiken County Coroner’s Office is investigating the discovery of human remains in the 200 block of Woodfield Road in Aiken.
On March 24th, shortly before 8pm the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the discovery of human remains behind a residence by a neighbor performing a well-being check.
The Aiken County Coroner’s Office arrived on scene at approximately 8:40 pm and confirmed the discovery.
The remains were collected, and sent to Newberry Pathology to assist with positive identification as well as determining a cause and manner of death.
The Aiken County Coroner’s Office along with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office are continuing the investigation.
