How to cash in on the Walgreens settlement?

How to cash in on the Walgreens settlement?
Have you used Walgreens to fill your prescription? Well, you might just be able to get some of your money back.

Walgreens is set to pay $100,000,000 to settle claims it overcharged customers for prescriptions – between 2007 and last November.

The deal comes as a lawsuit accuses the drugstore chain of inflating prices for insured customers and not applying savings from the company’s discount program. Yet Walgreens did not admit to any wrongdoing and maintains that it correctly reported its usual and customary prices. The court has not decided on the case but has preliminarily approved the proposed settlement.

Who Is Included?

The settlement states that “All individuals and entities in the United States and its territories who paid, in whole or in part, at any point in time from the period January 1, 2007, through November 18, 2024 (the “Settlement Class Period”), for one or more prescription drugs from Walgreens, where prescription insurance benefits were used in filling the prescription(s)”

How much could you be paid out?

Class Counsel will ask the court to award Service Award payments to the Plaintiffs not to exceed $5,000 to each Individual Plaintiff and $15,000 to each Fund Plaintiff, and Notice and Administration Expenses

How to file a claim?

To obtain payment from the Net Settlement Fund, you must submit a Claim Form on the Walgreens Savings Club Litigation website. You may be asked for documentation or proof of payment.

The settlement administrator is reaching out to known claimants. If you believe you qualify, you can submit a claim with supporting documents. For any further questions about the settlement go to the lawsuit website or call 1-877-888-8386.
