JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A Jackson firefighter was injured while responding to an apartment fire Tuesday morning.
The fire occurred at an apartment complex on Belvedere Drive around 3:30 a.m. on March 25.
Assistant Jackson Fire Chief Patrick Armon said two buildings were on fire, and the fire has been contained. Crews worked to put out hotspots in the buildings.
According to Armon, some people were in some of the buildings before crews arrived and that the apartments are supposed to be vacant.
Armon said one firefighter received a minor burn and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
