AMBER ALERT: 2 children in danger, police searching for possible homicide, arson suspect

RIVERDALE, Utah (ABC4) — The Riverdale Police Department is asking for the public’s help in the search for a man who is accused of abducting two children in Riverdale on Monday.

Authorities said the man identified as a suspect is a “possible homicide and arson suspect,” and the children are in “imminent danger.” Ricardo Rojel Trujillo, 29, has been identified as the suspect. He is said to be 5’5″ tall and weigh about 180 pounds, with black hair and black eyes.

Photos of the suspect and his vehicle have been shared by authorities, and can be seen in the slideshow above. Photos of the children, who are believed to be the suspect’s biological children, are also in the gallery above.

The children are identified as Angie Trujillo, 2, and Ricardo Trujillo, 3. Angie is 2’2″ tall, weighs 35 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. Ricardo is 2’5″ tall, weighs about 45 pounds, and has black hair and black eyes.

“The two children have gone missing under suspicious circumstances, and it is believed that they may be with their father,” Riverdale Police said in a press release Monday evening.

The abduction occurred around 2:45 p.m. on March 24. The suspect was last known to be driving a white Ford F-150 with Utah license plate 8BSC6. The truck has grey or black trim at the bottom of the doors of doors and around the wheel wells, along with a business logo (possibly reading ANV) and a phone number of 801-920-6397.

Police said they responded to a fire at a home on Monday and located a woman inside. The search for the suspect is ongoing and the case is being investigated.

“If you have any information on the whereabouts of Ricardo and his two children, please contact the Riverdale Police Department at 801-394-6616 or Weber County Dispatch at 801-395-8221,” Riverdale Police said.
