Suspects charged for alleged involvement in drug ring share violent criminal pasts

INDIANAPOLIS — When FBI agents carried out raids at several addresses Friday morning, they said they found evidence of cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine and heroin dealing and the violence that often accompanies that trade.

There was evidence of kidnapping, murder, gunfire, Molotov cocktails, pistol whipping and at least one shooting too.

Of the 13 suspects in custody, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department recognized several names.

Tre Dunn is already in jail charged with the murder of a drug customer on West 30^th Street last fall, and Tanesha Turner admitted she drove him away from the scene that day.

Avery and Adrian Bullock face current federal drug charges a decade after their arrests for alleged involvement with the notorious Grundy gang, which cut a murderous swath across Indianapolis in pursuit of narcotics sales.

While the Bullocks were never convicted of the most serious state charges lodged against them, like murder and attempted murder cases brought against Adrian, many of their associates did not escape court or street justice.

Richard Grundy III is serving life in federal prison for his conviction on drug charges.

Other gang members are also serving prison terms, and at least one was shot to death three years ago.

Agents are still seeking Lamar Browning, who should be considered armed and dangerous. Law enforcement is encouraging anyone who locates Browning to dial 1-800 CALL-FBI.

Federal detainees are typically held without bond and face life in prison, if convicted. Many of those charged have previous violence, gun and drug convictions.
