Storms are currently lining up across western parts of the state. This strong line of storms is moving eastward at about 50 mph. This complex will be working through the heart of Acadiana between 6-8am. This line of storms will be capable of containing gusty winds, small hail, torrential downpours, and frequent lightning. A level one risk of severe storms is in place for this morning, so keep this in mind as you leave to start your day.
We clear out later this afternoon with storm chances diminishing. Highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s for this afternoon, especially if we round out the afternoon with sunshine.
