Police surround south Abilene home
ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Police surrounded a south Abilene home Friday afternoon.

Officers surrounded a home near the intersection of S 3rd Street and Miller Street just before 1:00 p.m.

Police at the scene told KTAB and KRBC they were initially called to the home after receiving reports of a man with a gun.

They placed the owner of the home in handcuffs and escorted him off the property for safety while the officers cleared the home. He was brought back once they determined the home was empty.

It’s unknown who officers were searching for or why, but KTAB and KRBC crew members did hear them as for someone named Javier to exit the residence.

No further information is available at this time.
