Oaks Park marks 120th anniversary with spring break opening

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Oaks Park opened Saturday for its 120th season as Portland’s local amusement park.

The park first opened in 1905 and has since become a standard family hangout with beloved carnival rides and games, mini golf, and a roller skating rink.

“This year marks a major milestone as Oaks Park celebrates 12 decades of operation and its status as the last of the historic trolley parks left on the West Coast,” the Oaks Park Association said.

The amusement park will be open for Spring Break from Saturday, March 22 through Sunday, March 30. It will then open on weekends until students finish the school year.

This season at Oaks Park will continue through Halloween 2025.
