Suspect wanted in reported Hammond area rape, kidnapping

HAMMOND, La. (WGNO) — The Hammond Police Department has identified the suspect in an alleged kidnapping that happened on March 20.

According to officers, around 7:30 p.m. they responded to the North Oaks Medical Center on a reported kidnapping and rape.

During the investigation, detectives watched security footage of the suspect, identified as 18-year-old Donnie Lee Stevenson, get into a red Honda Accord and leave the location.

Officers are currently searching for Stevenson and are asking the public not to approach him.
