No foul play suspected in the death of Belva Day, investigation still on going

In a recent update, Mountain Home Police Chief Eddie Griffin says Belva Day’s vehicle was found on the Little Rock Air Force Base down an embankment against a fallen tree, preventing the doors from opening.
Griffin told KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News the base has three entrances, with two open 24/7 and are continuously manned. Investigators are working to determine how Day accessed the base, but no evidence suggests foul play. He addressed online speculation, clarifying that no one else could have been involved in the incident after Day entered the vehicle. The area where she was found was inaccessible by car, adding to the confusion. However, officials emphasized that there are no signs of suspicious activity.

The investigation remains ongoing, but Griffin described the situation as an unfortunate tragedy rather than the result of criminal activity. Day’s cause of death is still being determined.
