MEADE COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — A tip about a marijuana cultivation operation led investigators to a barn with nearly 160 marijuana plants inside.

The Meade County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) posted on Facebook that around 7:30 a.m. on March 14, the detectives responded to a tip about a possible growing and cultivating operation in the area.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

Deputies wrote that when law enforcement got to the barn, investigators found equipment used for cultivating and growing marijuana, as well as about 157 plants in all stages of growth.

All of the plants found in the barn were seized as evidence. One person was reportedly arrested during the investigation, but their name hasn’t been released.

“We will clean up Meade County and keep our communities safe with your help,” the sheriff’s office wrote.
