One rescued from South Jackson house fire

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Firefighters said one person was rescued from a house fire in South Jackson.

The fire occurred at a home in the 3800 block of Camilla Drive around 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19.

Assistant Jackson Fire Chief Patrick Armon said one person was able to make it out of the home, and firefighters had to rescue the second person. The two victims were both transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
