New super breathable, danceable, SPF 50 New Orleans festival shirts

Choosing what to wear to these fests is all part of the fun.

This festival season, want to put your best fashion foot forward? Looking and feeling the best at the fests? How about trying on Alon Apparel for size?

“The name is just NOLA backwards. When you look in the mirror you can read the name NOLA,” Ray Clement, Owner of Alon Apparel said.

He created these polo shirts with that “fest feeling.”

“Very lightweight, very stretchy, and flexible. They are very comfortable when you are bending over, sitting, standing and dancing,” Clement said.

Alon Apparel added two new shirts as part of their new “Festival Collection.” One design features yellow fairgrounds and the other is a blue stained glass one with musicians on it.

“The fairgrounds one has shrimp po-boys and food booths, and the stained glass one highlights former headliners and legends of music like Miles Davis, Irma Thomas and B.B. King,” he said.

Burt Durand, a regional artist, helped design these shirts for Alon.

Alon Apparel’s been around for about one year, and all the shirts are very local. They have many different styles, proudly displaying New Orleans favorites like red beans, streetcars, carnival, LSU and the Saints.

“I feel that wearing something like this, you feel at home,” he said.

Alon Apparel is sold at nine different locations around town, and they carry the entire line at Ted And George at The Rink.
