Izard County Sheriff warns storm victims of possible looting and scams


The Izard County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents affected by the recent tornadoes of looting and scams which have been reported in surrounding counties.




According to a Facebook post by the Sheriff’s Office, some looters attempt to scam storm victims by posing as volunteers offering to help with clean up.

No reports of looting have been noted in Izard County, however, residents should be aware of the possibility.

Any resident who suspects looters may be in their area should report to the Izard County Sheriff’s Office at 870-368-4203.
