Thousands of domain names expire everyday. Some surprise people when it’s something like a 3L.com left to expire. But it’s a oh holy crap moment when it’s a 2L.com.
IZ.com was listed at Top Domains on Namepros in 2017
Tarabasa Domains Ltd posted the following:
Premium 2L domain with thriving liquidity. Out of all the billions of domains out there, there’s only a very limited number of 2 letter .coms. To own this is a super rare opportunity
If you’re looking to invest into a diamond name that will shine through your portfolio for years to come, this is the one to go for.
While we appreciate all offers, the domain owner is looking for a 7 figure price range so we won’t be looking at anything below that.
Fast forward to 2021 and QEIP.com successfully completed the sale of IZ.com for less than the desired 7 figure range mentioned in the post from 2017. But still a healthy sales price of $625,000.
Fast forward to 2025 and the domain name has expired. It’s at auction at Namecheap. Current bid $290,000. Namecheap is the rare platform that allows comments under their auctions and some of the comments are hysterical.
