Abilene man arrested after baby tests positive for cocaine, marijuana

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – An Abilene man was arrested after his baby tested positive for cocaine and marijuana.

Zachary Flores was taken into custody for Child Endangerment Tuesday in connection to the allegations.

Court documents state the Department of Family and Protective Services called police in September 2024 to report the baby had tested positive for cocaine and marijuana while she was in the care of her parents.

In July, the documents reveal investigators met with Flores to ask about the positive drug tests, and during this interview he, “admitted the positive drug tests were his fault because he did not stay away after using cocaine and marijuana.”

Flores was released from jail after posting a $5,000 bond.
