Teen defends mother's home during Visalia burglary
VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A group of four burglarized a Visalia home in broad daylight while the homeowner and her son were home – police say one of the suspects engaged in a physical struggle with the boy as he tried to defend the property.

On March 10 around 10:50 a.m., police say four suspects entered a woman’s unlocked home while she was in the garage and her 15-year-old son was inside. The suspects allegedly took numerous items including laptops and tablets.

During the burglary, police say the woman’s 15-year-old son confronted one of the suspects and a struggle ensued. The mother ran inside and fended off the suspect who then left with the others in her vehicle. Police say the stolen vehicle has since been recovered.

According to officers, one of the male suspects has been identified as Angel Garcia; he is wanted on suspicion of robbery and vehicle theft.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of these suspects and/or their whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Albert Avelar at 559-621-6328 or Albert.Avelar@fresno.gov.
