SELINSGROVE – A Shenandoah native and recent college graduate is seeking a spot on borough council in his college’s town, and barring a write-in challenge, he’ll likely get it.
Alex Donchak, a 2020 Shenandoah Valley graduate, is seeking a two-year seat on Selinsgrove Borough Council in Snyder County.
Selinsgrove is home to Susquehanna University, where Donchak graduated in 2023 and where he now works.
He is the only candidate filed to be on the primary ballot for the open two-year seat.
Donchak is vice-chairman of the Susquehanna Valley Young Republicans and a member of the Snyder County Republican Committee.
At Shenandoah Valley, Donchak served as class historian and was Shenandoah Valley’s football scholar athlete.
