Man arrested for shooting death of 17-year-old in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested a man in connection to the shooting death of a 17-year-old.

Detective Tommie Brown announced Jermaine Hilliard, 43, was arrested and charged with murder.

The shooting occurred in the 3300 block of Memphis Street on Wednesday, March 5.

According to investigators, Avion Donelson, 17, was found near the back of the residence. They said the shooting may have stemmed from a disturbance.
