Firefighters successfully extinguish car fire outside Auburn Street business in Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Firefighters were called to extinguish a car fire in front of an Auburn Street business on Tuesday.

Firefighters were called to the strip mall that houses the Secretary of State facility and Levels Clothing, in the 3200 block of Auburn Street, at 3:01 p.m.

The fire department said firefighters had to act quickly, as the car was parked close to the storefront.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
