34-year-old man stabbed to death in Albany Park, authorities release identity

CHICAGO — A 34-year-old man was stabbed to death after fighting with another man, according to Chicago police, on Tuesday evening in Albany Park on the city’s Northwest Side.

Police say the man was found in the 3500 block of West Sunnyside Avenue just before 8 p.m. He has since been identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office as Juan Carlos Tello-Suarez of Chicago.

According to police, officers responding to a call for service found the victim, later identified as Tello-Suarez, outside with multiple stab wounds throughout his body. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say further investigation revealed the victim had gotten into a fight with an unidentified male suspect, who fled the scene on foot.

No arrests have been made, and Area Five Detectives are investigating.
