According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash happened around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday morning on I-95 South at mile marker 2.0 in Upper Chichester Township. The tractor-trailer is overturned and blocking the road.
As a precaution, fire and hazmat crews are responding. Pennsylvania State Police says there were “minor reported injuries” and all drivers have been taken to the hospital.
Additionally, there is a hazmat incident at I-95 North at mile marker 2.7. According to PSP, a tractor-trailer is leaking fuel, which is partially blocking part of the road. Multiple fire departments and hazmat crews are on the scene, which is also causing traffic delays.
I-95 South will be shut down between Exit 3 and Exit 2 “for an extended period” near Upper Chichester Township with major traffic delays expected. As of 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, the roadway is still shut down.
