Four hospitalized after head-on collision on FM 89

TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Four people were hospitalized after a head-on collision on FM 89.

The crash happened on FM 89 near Bell Plains Road around 1:00 p.m. Monday.

Two pickup trucks collided head-on, causing two passengers from each vehicle to be hospitalized with varying degrees of injury, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

FM 89 was closed from Bell Plains Road to Claiborne Avenue while emergency crews worked to clear the crash.

Investigators are still working to determine an exact cause, and no further information is available at this time.
