Monroe PD still searching for suspect in 2020 Parkview Apartments double homicide

MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On March 17, 2025, officials of the Monroe Police Department reminded the public that Delarrious Jones, a suspect in a double homicide that occurred in Parkview Apartments on September 1, 2020, is still wanted by authorities.

On September 1, 2020, authorities were dispatched to Parkview Apartments on Richwood Road #2 due to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located two deceased male victims on the ground.

According to court documents, an informant approached authorities and advised that three male subjects were sitting and standing near a black vehicle parked in front of an apartment building. Jones was allegedly identified as one of the male subjects who was near the vehicle.

Jones was accused of suddenly shooting one of the deceased victims multiple times before chasing another male victim, Malacra O. Smith, and fatally shooting him.
