LSU women’s basketball gets No. 3 seed, Southern U at No. 16 in NCAA tournament

BATON ROUGE, La. (LouisianaFirstNews)—The LSU women’s basketball team is the number three seed in the upcoming NCAA tournament, while the Southern University women’s basketball team is the number 16 seed.

LSU will host No. 14 San Diego State in the first-round in the PMAC on Saturday.

The winner will play the winner of the game between Florida State and George Mason.

Southern, the 2025 SWAC tournament winner, will play UC San Diego in the First Four game on Wednesday in Los Angeles.

The winner of that game will face the overall number one seed, UCLA, on Friday.

This is the second time in three years that the Lady Jaguars have made it to the NCAA tournament.

The Lady Tigers have hosted NCAA Tournament games each year under Coach Kim Mulkey.
