Izard County sheriff: roads are passable, but be careful

Crews in Izard County are continuing to clean up the damage after Friday night’s storm activity. Izard County Sheriff Charley Melton says the roads in the county are passable, but motorists should not be out if they don’t need to.

Damage can be seen throughout Izard County, but Sheriff Melton says one of the worst areas is just east of the White River and south of Calico Rock, and another is around Franklin.

When it comes to assistance Izard County, Sheriff Melton says personnel are attempting to contact different agencies.
