318 Day Festival celebrated the community with live music, craft vendors, food trucks, and local artists. It featured performances by local artists, such as Go DJ Yoshi, Richard + Ouro Boar, Chaynler Joie, Edi Ki, Port City All-Star Band, and Shreveport Bone Society.
Tomorrow there will be the 318 Food Festival and PurpleReign Fashion Show featuring designer Latasha V. Henderson.
One of the entertainers this weekend, DJ Hotboy Yoshi, said this is his first time at the festival and that it is excellent for the city.
“It’s very important that we get out and fellowship and support local businesses, seasonal. We need to do this in the spring, summer, and fall year round, and that way we are going to grow our community and eventually grow our city, eventually grow our state into bigger things,” says DJ Hotboy Yoshi.
Anderson Avenue and the Shreveport Regional Arts Council organized the 318 Day Festival.
Tomorrow, the 318 food festival will be at the municipal auditorium from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
