The swap shops will be available at different nature centers around the state. The Fred Berry Crooked Creek Nature Center will play host to one of the events Saturday from 10 to 2. Other community yard sales will be hosted in Little Rock, Fort Smith, Springdale, Jonesboro and Columbus.
The event is free and anyone is welcome to trade in old gear for new items or negotiate cash deals.
Eric Maynard, assistant chief of education for the AGFC, says “We’ve held outdoor swap shops, gear trades and other yard sale events at individual nature centers for years, but this is a combined effort to get all of the centers on the same page. And timing the event just as warm weather is starting to come back to the state should result in some great participation. Even if you just want to stretch your legs, bring along an old fishing rod or hunting boots that the kids have outgrown and see what you might be able to trade into.”
Due to federal requirements, firearms will not be available at the sale.

The Fred Berry Crooked Creek Nature Center is located at 851 Conservation Ln in Yellville.
