Steven Spielberg filming upcoming movie in South Jersey

WOODBINE, N.J. (WPHL) — Iconic movie director Steven Spielberg is filming his next movie in the Garden State.

The movie is being filmed in Woodbine, New Jersey and features stars like Emily Blunt and Wyatt Russell. There are no official details on what the film is about, but reports say it is a movie about UFOs.

PHL17 had the chance to talk to the Mayor of Woodbine, William Pikolycky, and he says that having Spielberg in his town is an honor. Mayor Pikolycky believes this is a big opportunity for the Garden State.

“We’re seeing the film industry become more and more interested in doing work in New Jersey,” said Woodbine Mayor William Pikolycky. “By doing that, and being placed on the map with this, we hope to see more and more future movies and productions, not only in my town, but other towns across the state.”

Pikolycky says that when he meets Spielberg, he wants to present him with the keys to the city.
