Philadelphia sees first increase in population since pandemic
PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) — A new report says that Philadelphia is seeing a population increase for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic.

The U.S. Census Bureau says that between July 2023 and July 2024, Philadelphia gained 10,500 residents, a 0.7% increase from 2023.

Philadelphia’s population after the COVID-19 pandemic dropped by nearly 11,000 residents in 2021, and by more than 19,000 in 2022.
